Don yer in luck, we have had our I-544 for almost 20 years now. The big proablem with this tractor is the swept axel, the pivot bushings like to wear and the piviot pin has broken twice, not a good record for a tractor that does not have a loader on it, We did buy it used so first owner might have had a loader. The steering cylinder system likes to loosen up and once a inner ball end joint fell out and almost threw me off the tractor as I was draging a pegtooth in 4th. The outer arms loosen up from the spindels as well to give you plenty of steering slack. Most get welded in place. The shifter can be made much more precise with some work. Many mechanics hook the governer spring in the wrong hole so the throttle lever wont stay open, a very easy fix. If the fuel gauge starts acting goofy change the cork sensor gasket, if ignored gas starts sloshing out and on to the starter! If the alternator top strap brakes let me know as I have made a much better one and IH no longer has them. After all this you'd think I would hate this thing but Doodle Bug is one of my favorit tractors, now that I have fixed most of the faults. That front axel is next! Would like to build a streight one and use 7x20 tires for a better ride. BTW ours runs 24 mph down the road, clocked using a gps. And its puting out bout 54 pto hp. farmer kev

Most drive train parts are fairly easy to get. Sheet metal is probably the hardest thing to
