not a good idea 99% of parts stores have a strict rule on that. once gas hits the carb or you tighten down the mounting bolts, its yours, period, if you buy a new carb, just use it and save your old one to rebuild for a spare, or you might be able to sell that one and get some of your money back on the one you bought
