The bolts holding the PP to the Flywheel should be about 1/2 of their length into the Flywheel before the PP begins compressing the disk. This amounts to about 1/4" of gap between the FW and PP with them all just barely beginning to tighten up. If they were way farther out than this on the bolt threads, I believe the FW was machined incorrectly. The tractor does not need to be split to change the clutch and PP. Just the fly wheel/ring Gear requires that. (just to make sure you dont split for a clutch only operation) JimN
