Was mowing Friday with the old H and a belly mower. Was mowing in 4th with the throttle wound up pretty good cause the clouds where getting dark and saw lighting flashing to the east. Just had about 5 min.s left and I heard a chirping sound coming from the mower. Stopped and put in the clutch and thought it must be a bearing in one of the three spidles wanting some grease. "I grease them every other time I mow" Let the clutch back out and bam bam bam, all heck broke loose. The adjustment braket on the idle pully broke and belts and sh... stuff went everywhere. Got it all apart but being a Holiday no place is open. I think I will need to take it to a machine shop. The braket needs welded and the bearing seems to be a press on kind of thing. I can grease the 3 spindles but the idle pully has no place to grease that bearing. That may have been it's down fall. I have grease up to my shoulders and in my hair with grass clippings stuck to it. Just thought I would share some of my fun with you guys. Paul
