STEERING SHAFT SEAL

Does anyone know if I can replace the steering shaft seal w/out taking the box apart?If I remove the steering wheel can I just slide the new seal down the shaft and tap it in? This is on a farmall 130 , this model looks just like the A's as you all probably know.I would guess they are the same. THANKS
