If it has serial # tag on, the C has a 5 digit serial # and the SC has a 6 digit #. If no tag, then look at the clutch/brake pedals. The C`s are straight and the SC`s curve back toward the operator.The C has band brakes which have a sheet metal cover bolted on the outside of brake housing. The SC has disk brakes which have a cast iron brake housing.C has a 15" steering wheel and a SC has an 18" .You can put a 18" steering wheel on a straight C but it leaves very little room between the bottom of wheel and the seat.They changed the angle of the steering shaft on the SC to accomodate the larger wheel.
