After Several months of work & fair expense,I finally got the transmission, back together & everything installed and running, but to my dismay. In reverse, gear it makes such a racket & howling noise, not just your typical cub transmission noise, 1st gear is nice & quiet, 2nd and 3rd.are both quiet, I've replaced all bearings & seals on the main shaft, new bearings pinon shaft, installed (NEW) 1st/rev. slider gear,I did replace the ring & carrier, I went through the tedious task of setting up bearing preload with pinon shaft out, Installed pinon shaft & setting of pinon gear backlash, Made shure gears were installed correctly, What did I do Wrong? It just howls & growls major noise compared to my other cub. I have some PTO shaft noise, I have an pto shaft pilot bushing I haven't installed it yet, I am just beside myself with disgust & disapointment. Thanks for letting me to vent off here. ALL HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKS Dave F.
