I put a new temp gauge on the 460 yesterday and was looking at the tach gauge to see what it needs to work. No cable. However it wouldn't fit anyway. The distributor is in at a goofy angle. It is turned so the cable would come out right into the block, don't think it would fit. Apparently somebody tinkered with this old girl and put it in turned. Doesn't this mess up the fire order or the timing or something? I always thought they had to go in at the same way they came out. Could be they corrected it with the timing or something. Tractor runs good. I don't know squat about distributors, can it be pulled and put in with the correct angle? From pictures it looks like the cable and gears should come right out parallel to the engine and it makes a straight shot to the dash. Thanks
