I have an old Hough Payloader with an IH UD9 engine, starts on gas , runs on diesel. It has been sitting for about 25 years. I rebuilt the carb, and did run it on gas. It ran pretty well, {I did dump the old oil and filter}. It didn't smoke at all. I changed the fuel filters (they were real dirty and I suspect the injector pump wasn't getting fuel), cleaned the prefilter and drained the fuel tank. I put in fresh fuel. When I started it this time, it smoked pretty bad while in gas mode. It seems to be getting diesel fuel somehow. When I switched over to diesel mode, the engine took off on its own revving very high. I immediately shut it down. Is there something sticking in the injector pump? Is anything serviceable from the side pump cover? Thanks John
