58 international utility 240

I just purchased the tractor. My hydraulic system and power steering work only occasionally. I checked the plug near my PTO and found the systen dry. I added nearly 5 gallon of universal hydraulic fluid and again the rear hydraulics and power steering work until the tractor is hot and then quit. Do I have a air pocket problem? If so how do wou bleed the system? Is there a area on the tractor to check the hydraulic fluid level? I'm at a loss on what to do next. Any help would be appreciated
