I won't comment on the Elenco info except that there is probably alot of bad info or confusion at the Ford Board. Tony Jacobs, current owner of Elenco who is involved in rehabing old Ford FWD units, claims that he is friendly with a Mr. Elwood who was previously associated with Elenco (short for Elwood Engineering Co). Odd that there should be a Mr. Elwood and Elwood, Il and both names are associated with FWD. I wrote Tony an email and it will be interesting to read his response. As for MM and Elwood, I think the information on the MM board is correct. I have seen two of the FWD MM's. Check out the link. Someone at the JD board claims to have an experimental Elwood/JD 4020. Info at the Case board is vague although some 930's may have been equipped. AC has nothing.
