There is an O ring on each of the touch control rods. They are recessed inside the housing. You will need to make an extractor out of a welding rod or such. Putting them back in is no problem. Drain the touch control. You probably need to was the screen (held in by four bolts on the left side) anyway and this is a good time. Disconnect the hydraulic lines on the right side. You will need a NEW gasket for that. Disconnect thecontrol levers. remove the four mounting bolts. Unfasten the control valves from the left arms, remove the lift arms and pull the control valves out. Thjey aren't fastened to anything inside the unit. You will see the"O" rings up inside. You can buy a pair of universal rack and pinion boots to replace the boots from an auto parts store. When you get through, refill with oil, have a blow gun and a rag ready to shoot just a little air into the filler hole. You may not have to if you don't remove the lines from the pump itself.
