Hi, is it just the clutch slipping when it gets hot? Is your clutch adjusted properly, about 3/4" of free travel? To test the clutch, while travelling on a road in 4th high range and about 1/2 throttle, apply both brakes hard and it should drag down the engine but if the engine RPM remains constant and the tractor stops then then clutch is slipping. WARNING BEFORE YOU DO THIS TEST MAKE CERTIAN THAT YOUR BRAKES ARE BRAKING BOTH WHEELS EVENLY OR IT WILL SWING THE FRONT END OF THE TRACTOR IN THE DIRECTION OF THE BEST BRAKE AND THIS CAN BE DANGEROUS AT HIGH SPEED. If you do have to change the clutch put in the 6 paddle heavy duty clutch from a 684. The 454D only has a 2 paddle clutch and is not sufficient. Good luck JB
