Jokke: This engine, I believe will have a Rossa Master pump. I'm no expert, but I have changed 5 Rossa Masters in my day without a manual and the all started first crack. I always lined up timimg marks on flywheel or front pulley at beginning. To be sure you are on right cycle remove small plate on the side of the pump and make sure timing marks in pump line up. From there just make sure nothing gets moved, and I don't thing you can put it together wrong. Be very careful putting shaft into a Rossa Master as there is an o ring within pump that seals around that shaft. End of shaft as you slide it in will take a piece out of o ring. Put lots of fuel on the shaft. If you damage the o ring diesel fuel will go by in and on to crankcase.

My experience was two 282 IH of which your engine is just 2/3, twice on John Deere 329, first time I damaged o ring. The 5th one was my Chevy 6.2 diesel. I also did them in that order so the o ring damage is not necessarily first timers. More a case of hurry.
