Farmall M engine Kits

I have got a M Farmall that is going to be needing an engine overhaul this winter. This tractor is a work/farm tractor, not a puller. When I looked up prices on engine kits at work
I came up with the following:

M with 4.00" overbore = $404.00

Super M with 4.125" overbore = $656.00

400 with 4.125" overbore = $388.85

So my question is this why not put the 400 kit in my M Farmall? It seems practical to increase power at the lower price. Anybody tried this before? Anything special that you had to do?
