I replaced the starter on my Farmall MD with a rebuilt 12 volt starter that is from a Farmall 450. Mechanically it looks the same, but it doesn't seem to engage when I push the starter. Are the 450's positive or negative ground? Does anyone have a starter wiring diagram for this starter? I wired the battery direct to the starter terminal and the "S" terminal on the solenoid to the starter switch. There is an "N" terminal on the solenoid that I don't know what it does. The 450 I saw in the salvage yard had only one wire connected to the "S" terminal. Roger
