I disagree. Like Aces said, it's the carbon build-up that causes burning, not the adjustment. Once you get that build-up from non- Case-IH Low-Ash oil on the valve seats, they will not transfer the heat from the valves to the head. Guys who run non low-ash oil also have problems with spark plugs. We've been running low-ash in this 706 for 32 years now, not one burned valve, and belive me, they don't get adjusted as often as they should. Who cares if the low-ash costs a little more, beats doing valve jobs every 100 hours.
