H not getting fuel

I have a 41 H that will run fine for a while and then sounds as if it is starving for fuel. I have the replacement soft fuel line on it. I can lift the fuel line up above the carb before the tractor cuts off and it will begin to run fine again. I just started having this problem recently. Is the float hanging?
