This may not be much help, but here is something to start with. Were you running with the Fast-Hitch clear up or clear down? If something is out of adjustment or the feedback linkage isn't working right, it may be trying to run the hitch past it's limits of movement. I think that Hydra-Touch system has a valve somewhere in there (in all the stuff below the gas tank) to release the pressure when the valves are in the neutral position. If that valve is stuck or whatever controls it is not working, it would hold high pressure. Service manual may have some helpful details on this.
