super A generator wiring

Just bought a new '54 super A. The generator is not charging. I removed it and found only one red wire coming from the generator (actually from the box on top of the generator). There was a blue wire cut and tied around the red wire down a little ways but not connected to anything. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this tractor? Is there supposed to be only one wire coming from the 6 volt generator? Thanks for looking. Phil
