Hi all , Against my better judgment ( that's the way I do most thing's ) I bought a M off of E-bay . It's near Cornell , WI about 5 hour's from me . Now I'm trying to figure out how to get it home . I was going to rent a u-haul . At least that was the plan till I contacted u-haul and found out that they have a 4000# payload limit . M weigh's close to 5000 . Lucky it doesn't have wheel weight's and I don't know if it has fluid or not . So when and if I get it home I'll be here as often as possible collecting as much information as possible from the best people possible ! I have never even sat on a Farmall much less used one . Since I was a preteen at least on the farm in Georgia . So I don't make a complete a$$ of myself when I get up there to pick it up I have to make a complete " A " of myself here . Does an M have a normal automotive style shift pattern ? OK , That was embarrassing ~:-) . 49 year's old and can drive any semi out there and have to ask what the shift pattern is on a dinky little tractor . It's too late to find anything out about this tractor so I'm going into this with every expectation that it'll need a major overhaul . Including transmission , final drive and steering . I suppose the first thing I'll do is take a oil sample in for a test and change it . It might take me a few week's for a tune up and I know the steering is bad so that'll have to be addressed also ( they told me it had 1/3 turn of play in the wheel ) . I'll be back with the rest of the story hopefully in the next week or so . I hope to get it next weekend barring divorce when my wife find's out I bought it ;') . Take care ...Randy

Show Coverage: Godfrey, Illinois Country Days - by Cindy Ladage. Except for last fourth of July's Old Gold show in Springfield, Illinois, I don't remember when it was so hot. Nevertheless, the heat didn't keep vendors and visitors alike from enjoying the third annual Country Day's Event. Jane Elliott said the event was originally a one man show. "Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
