Thanks , No it points to the rear . I just went out there and scraped soom paint off and found a number that I didn't see yesterday . It is part # 353 898 but I can't make out what's after that so I'll assume that it's - R11 - . That part # is in the book . So that makes it a IH . But it's an after thought ? Both my parts books ( original copies of TC-28F and H ) indicate the H-4 went to serial # 22973 which is 1940 . Could the distributor package be ordered on a new tractor after 1940 ? Did people order tractors back then or did they just buy what was on the lot ? Or was that the time they started the field improvement package ? Thanks...Randy
