I have been reading this site for about three years now! I very seldom answer a question in this fourm because of a lack of knowledge on these tractors. However I occasionally answer one in the garden tractor forum for I have been working on cub cadets for about twenty years or so. A couple of years ago I purchased a 340 utility with a bad motor. I have been doing research on this motor as to what options I have to repair it. This site has been very useful with this information. As these motors seem to be difficult to find.I just purchased a c135 motor last week to get all the internal components to put in my block. I have posted several questions will little or no answers. That is all right because that makes you dig deeper for the info and you understand it more thoroughly.
I live in a little town in northcentral Pa. I have access to 140 acres to do with what I want. Some day I would like to brush hog some of the fields and cut my winter fire wood for the shop. I really enjoy reading the post on a daily basis. I have purchased some things off this web site as part of my contribution.
I'm sure I will have more questions as I continue to work on this tractor.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

Quite frankly, for some time now restorers like myself have become more and more concerned about the rapid increase in the prices of old farm machines here in England. There is now a growing market for "As found" machines. Which as machines get rarer, has found the birth of a new industry....one of the "procurement agent". These agents appropriate as much old machinery as possible then inflate prices at auctions. So at what price enthiusiasm? We are now seeing poor machines which 3 years ago ma ... [Read Article]
