wheel weight value

I have a few IH wheel weights laying around that a neighbor would like to buy. I am wondering how much is a fair price to put on them? I have always been told a $1 a pound? But my next question is how much do they weigh? They are the IH halves. I have been told that 2 halves fit togeather to match the same size as the whole weights that will fit anything from an M up to the 86 series. Is this correct? is a $1 a pound too much to ask from a neighbor?
