The coil makes sence. It"s the one item I didn"t replace. I even replaced the resistor. I"ll probably replace the condensor too just because "Ya never know" and because they"re cheap. I"ve never had to replace a coil, so I guess I didn"t even concider it.

To the contributor who mentioned "worn valves", I don"t think that is it because it is less than a minute from the time it acts up to the when it stops. It isn"t gradual power loss, and it sure does back fire.
