A bent crankshaft on a combine straw walker more than likely came from the operator plugging the combine with straw in the walker area. This puts undue pressure on the walker and will bend the shaft. Sometimes if you are using a straw chopper it will stop the flow of straw and plug up on the walkers. (I have experienced this)Fix it right and then install a detector to warn you if the straw stops flowing thru the combine. If this bent shaft is not corrected more damage can be done to the walker by breaking the mounting brackets from the shaft bearings to the walker. Good Luck Slowfolk
