The carb probably needs to be removed and cleaned. The Idle circuit may be plugged to the point that the main jet, and float level are supplying all the fuel for idle. when opened up, it bogs with lack of fuel for a half second, then is given more than it needs. Float level, clean passages, and plenty of fuel in the lines and sediment bowl are needed. If the idle adjust does not make a difference, it needs cleaning. JimN
