Or Chris, you can do like I did on both of my 1940 M's. I took one look at the bolts in the radiator, the front pully on the crank, and the front cover, and said screw it. I put a live pump on both tractors, one with a Westendorf TA26 loader, and one with a three point, both with power steering and have had no trouble with either one. Not saying I might not, but ifn it ain't broke don't fix it. And if it works, go with it. Good luck, and happy hydraulicing, Harley
