Very much so! That is what I did with my new Troy Built mower. Has a 17.5 engine and I mixed a little chainsaw mix with every fill up. Tank holds about 3 gallons and I put in one small bottle of saw mix. Ywo years latter it runs great and i use a synthetic blend 30w. Jeffcat PS CHAINGE the stupid air filter more than often!!!!!They plug up really quick!
