1st TA for the 450 is 1.7 mph vs 2.5 in direct, with standard tires. I don't know if that is slow enough or not, but I have heard that a rototiller will "push" the tractor with the TA engaged, since it is not a positive drive -- I do not know. I have used a rototiller very little, but I have had one push a 444, entirely different tractor, no TA, but a HI-low 8 speed transmission, don't remember what gear I was using 30 years ago. -- someone else will clear this up.
