Hi, The plow will work best if the clevis is on the line of draft. To find this first locate the center of load on the plow, this is 1/4 the width of one bottom to the right of the center of the plow and just slightly above the joint between the plowlay and the moldboard. Place the tractor in front of the plow in its proper position, run a string from that point on the plow forward to the point on the tractor where the swinging drawbar would be attached under the belly. Put the clevis on that line and then adjust the plow hitch left or right so the furrow wheel is in correct alignment with the tractor tire. The vertical line of draft is best adjusted with the plow in the ground and the tractor in the furrow. Again find the center of load on the plow, run the string to the clevis on the tractor, adjust the plow hitch up or down to follow that line as close as possible. If you get these adjustments right the plow will pull staight and level, and the tractor will be easy to steer.
