The shaft comes with the cover. No need to remove the nut or the cap. If the cover won't budge once you have all of the bolts out it's because the splines are stuck in the clutch plate. And if they are stuck hard enough all the king's horses ain't gonna break it loose. Good luck, you may have to be creative.
