That happened in Kentucky in the early 1980's with my late Dad. the older tobacco farmers died out, and younger blood bought the farms around us. Dad had a 1953 super c (I still have it) and I had a super H we farmed 146 acres with. our implements were also old, but well kept.

when the youngsters chided Dad for farming with his museum pieces..Dad would chuckle, saying "that's OK. it may take these OLD Farmalls a little longer, but we will get there. they are paid for. you had better hope you don't have a bad year"
The old man knew exactly what he was talking about. we did have a few bad years, and a lot of farms around us went on the auction block!
