Power Assist Steering

Question: there is an advertisement for a M and the owner says it has Power Assist steering it also has a Schwortz WF and it is not a Super. He did not know if it was factory and it did not have a modified automotive type setup. Anyway, the question is, was there such an animal available and were they any good & how sould I check it out?
