I've noticed that there is a booger weld (broken, and now very loose) between the steering (pitman?) arm and the large castelated nut holding it to the steering box shaft. Basically, what you'd be looking at from the front of the tractor and looking into the opening of the steering box. When I move the steering wheel, that nut moves instantly with it, but the pitman arm doesn't for about a 1/4 turn on the wheel. Is it safe to "assume" that the splines on the shaft and or arm are worn/gone? Any suggestions where I should go from here? Thanks.
