F12 wont run,help!

I have rebuilt the carb and the fule pump,also I have new fuel lines and just had the tank steamed and the only thing I got out of all that time and money is a majior gas leak.The pump will shoot gas out if I disconect the line from the pump to the carb.But if I hook the line back up squirt some gas in the cylinders then fire it up I get no gas out of the line up by the carb.Could a check valve not be working right or what is the problem?Sorry for being so long winded but the local tractor show is tommorow and I have swarn that thing is going.Also it is the John Deere Eastern National Expo.Please help!
