In my experience it depends on how much you use the tractor. In my area it seems all diesel has 2% mixed in and I have not had any problems. For a time in the summer we can buy 100% soy diesel which worked fine in my 1997 F250, when I used it all the time, but when I let it sit for a few months of very little use I had a hard time starting it and when I changed the fuel filter it was over grown with something.
