No need to remove it just use the cherry picker then get the bolts out holding the final to the tranny they do have dowels so you will need to work it loose some before it will clear the tranny. You mite want to replace both seals while its apart. The brake drum will need to be removed to get the diff shaft out thru the plate on the final to replace the outer seal.
