Sounds like what I am going through on the H .
My guess would be the sealing surface is worn or rough . Can get it built up (weld ) and ground to size . Mine in leaking at the belly pump seal and main drive shaft seal . looks like someone ground down the drive shaft .
Maby this is the type of problem you have...
