Hello all,
My 46H (X1) came with a hood from Distillate tractor (At least I'm pretty sure it is). The guy I bought from put on the "new" hood as the original hood had been "modified" to fit an alternator.
The Distillate hood measures 33 1/2", whereas the distance between the Front Grill and the Gas Tank, where the hood should properly sit, is 34 1/8" - so my hood is effectively 5/8" short.
I think that I have mistakenly assumed that (excluding minor variations) the H was the same dimensionally throughout the original production run. Guess not. :oops:
Look forward to thoughts/comments on this topic.
All that said, I need a replacement hood. Anyone have a X1 hood they would like to trade for a distillate hood, or possibly sell? If not, I'll shop around.
