There was a toy tractor auction last Sat in Garnavillo--I would guess 3,000 including the 64 th scale ones. Everyone said they went high. But then we all know how auctions can or can't go.
I would say insurance is a must. I had my collection stolen, we had some insurance, but the toys had increased in value, and the list was out dated.
I was kinda upset that the insurance company paid the claim so easy and fast. The company had a list with prices / values, and I had group pictures.
I expected problems, so I had my house in order. They were more than honest, professional, and easy to deal with. They cut me a check for over $12,000.00.
However after a year or so I was called in to the cop shop---thought they found the toy tractors----oh yea, justice will be served. The second question I was asked? How long have you had insurance on these toy tractors?
To this day we have not found any of the stolen tractors, but some had serial numbers---so I am hopefull yet.
