I wonder if you or your husband can help me, or point me in the correct direction. In 1972 my grandmother gave me a John Deer peddle tractor for my 1st birthday, She had always said that it was rare and their were less than 100 ever produced. I think it was made by the Ertle Co. in Iowa, I did stop by their company in the earyl 90's and asked them what they could tell me about it. All of their literature confirmed that it had been produced but how many, or for how long didn't exist. Their books just had a dash (-)The person at the company said to hang on to it because it did seemed pretty rare. The model says LG for lawn and garden. It is 100% metal, green with a yellow seat and wheels and a wide front end, the tires are a solid rubber. and it is in MINT condition, because it was too heavy to ever peddle.
