I've got a pair of Red Wing lace-up 8 inchers that came with just a little pebble graining tread on the soles (smooth now after maybe 100 days of use) and they are supposed to be oil resistant.....I haven't had then in oily conditions so I can't really vouch for that. Only thing was they cut into the back of my legs at the top so I cut away about an inch at the back and tapered it up to the front to keep all the laces. Fairly cheap for Red Wings, got 'em for 100 bucks flat at a fair show, made in the USA too.
