It's an inline Bosch... It will go from an idle and wrap up a ways (did not open it up wide open) with the throttle lever, but when you put the throttle to the "kill" position, it keeps right on at idle speed.. Don't slow it down any further than the idle speed (600 rpm or so?? The tach is currently not working).. That's why I unhooked the throttle linkage and ran the arm on the pump by hand, thinking maybe it needed a linkage adjustment, and it did the exact same as it did with the throttle lever.
Mel, I plan to try to get HIM to come HERE and deal with it.. I paid him to do a job, so it should be right, IMO.. But I certainly will keep everyone posted.. Your theory sounds like it could be logical.
