Our son is about done with his first enlistment in the Navy. He is going to re-enlist and after training will be stationed in Des Moines, Ia. as a recruiter. He asked us to come out and be there when he signed up, so I took the day off from work and we left as soon as the wife got home from work. Made the trip OK, met him and his wife there. Got to be time for the signing, and he handed me a piece of paper and said you have to read this to me. I got to be the one to swear him in, they had this set up, had a ranking officer there to witness it, so it's all legal. Nice surprise for me, never dreamed I'd be a part of it! Afterwards, we went out to eat and then his wife had a Dr's appointment, she is due any day with their 2nd child, and we watched our grandson while they went in to see Dr. They are going to start her today, so we will soon have grandchild #5. We got home and I got started planting beans about 5:30. Long day but worth it. Chris
