Those pics sure do bring back memories. But seems like we had bigger tubes. I know when I was 9 or 10 yrs old, my hand wasn't big enough to fit over the 2" tubes. Had to be careful or I'd get a face full of water!! And no matter what else was going on, always had to make morning and evening "rounds" to check the wells. We had several Chrysler 318's and a couple of Chevy 427's. They ran almost non stop from mid March till early Sept. That's where I learned to drive...helping Dad move "settin's" of aluminimum gated pipe. That's what I like about these forums...brings back lots of fond (and sometimes not so fond!!) memories of growing up on the farm.

Today's Featured Article - Oliver 550 Purchaser Checklist - by Greg Sheppard. Pound for pound the 550 is better than anything I've seen. It has great power for its size and can really hunker down and lug. Classified as a 3-bottom plow depending on soil conditions.
