That should work. The problem you get into when you get south of Danville is that there aren't many larger towns to find a motel. If you CAN find something around Liberty instead of Russell Springs,that would be best for Saturday night,but I think picking will be slim to find a motel. When you get to Dunnville,just for laughs,stop in at that old general store on the right hand side of the road. It's right across the road from the newer one where they have everything,but the 2 old ladies in the old store have been there for about 60 years and they're a real hoot to talk to.
