I know some of you guys have tame blackberrys. I started a small patch this year with some root cuttings I got from a nursery (Apache thornless variety). I planted them on April 1, 2011. They are growing nicely, but I probably should hit them with a little more fertilizer. Waiting on soil test results for that. My question is, should I expect any production from them next season? I am new to this and just seeking some input from someone who has done this before. Any other tips are appreciated.
