Watched a father in law waste away to nothing, he was 50. Worked with a guy that said his Mother in law died of lung cancer and she never smoked a day in her life, I asked did y'all ever smoke there. He said ya, some times it was so strong we had to go outside. Never could figure why they let children in the smoking areas. Work areas don't have anything to do with smoking. Welders have fume exhaust vents and if you don't have one you just choose not to. Painters have masks, most jobs have some breathing protection. If I was stuck on a freeway everyday for 3-4 hours I would get some kind of breathing apparatus.
