If Edsel had owned an Edsel, they'd have probably used that.
Edsel Byrd's a straight-up guy, he was an engineer with an electric utility who quit his job there to get into the movie business...simply because he loved going to the theater and watching movies. He worked in theaters to learn every aspect of the business, and then built a 2-screen cinema house in our then cinema-less town.
And when he built it, they DID come. In droves. He finally sold the Corydon Cinemas to his son Chris, who's an attorney, a couple of years ago and is semi-retired now. And those 2 screens are now 8, by the way.
And next door to the theater is the local Ford dealer...there on Edsel Lane.
